If You’re Carrying More Responsibility Than Most People Realize …

I’ve been there, and I know what it feels like to lead when the stakes are high.

As a former USAF Colonel with 30 years of leadership experience, I’m no stranger to stress. Today, I help leaders in healthcare, government, and the military show up with clarity and calm confidence—even when the pressure feels palpable.

Tired of all the performing, proving, and pushing through that comes with being at the top? I’ll help you lead with more calm and confidence—so you have energy left for a life outside of the office.

Serving Something Bigger Than Myself

Years ago, after serving in the Army, I joined the Air Force in search of purpose, challenge, and the opportunity to lead in a way that truly mattered.

I was drawn to the mission, the structure, and the privilege of protecting the health and readiness of those who serve our nation.

My assignments took me to Germany (twice), Japan, and many U.S. states. Along the way, I led through Ebola, COVID, and the Afghan withdrawal. Decisions had to be made quickly, often with incomplete information and rapidly changing realities. (Can you relate?)

What Everyday, High-Stakes Leadership Looked Like

✔ Coordinating across agencies.

✔ Advising senior leaders, strategically and operationally.

✔ Helping leaders stay calm and clear under intense pressure.

✔ Translating policy into clear, actionable steps.

✔ Leading teams
responsible for health and mission readiness.

This wasn’t simply crisis response.

It was leading people decisively and compassionately when the human impact was real, and there was no margin for error.

The Biggest Lesson I Learned from the Military

Leadership isn’t about control; it’s about responsibility for people. How you show up under pressure sets the tone for everyone around you. Calm is contagious, and steady leadership builds more trust than brute force ever can.

You Don’t Need to Have All the Answers

Another lesson I learned: leadership isn’t about always appearing polished.

Early in my career, I tried to emulate leaders I admired. On the outside, I looked composed. On the inside, it felt rigid—almost performative—as if I was playing a role instead of truly connecting.

Over time, I realized people don’t need perfection. They need steadiness, honesty, and presence. And they need you to be yourself

When I stopped trying to look like a leader and started being fully present, my leadership deepened.

And so did the trust within my team.

WHAT I DO NOW:

Helping Leaders Grow in Confidence & Clarity

When I retired from the military in 2024, I found myself in an unfamiliar space. Without the uniform, daily mission briefs, or teams relying on me, I felt unexpectedly untethered.

But one truth was clear: mentoring leaders had always been the most meaningful part of my career.

Coaching became a natural continuation of service—a new way to support leaders navigating high-pressure roles. Today, I work with executive leaders across healthcare, government, and the military, helping them lead with confidence, clarity, and a deeper sense of alignment.

CLIENT IMPACT

“Colonel Farrell is an excellent leader. I will never forget the impact she had on me, and I can wholeheartedly say that I haven’t worked for anyone as devoted as her.”

- Luca Melendez, Public Health Officer

Why This Work Matters

One of my favorite moments in coaching is watching clients realize they already hold the answers they’ve been searching for.

You can see the shift happen in real time.

They stop mid-sentence, eyes widening, as the realization sinks in. They feel both surprise and relief at their newfound clarity.

Often, what leaders need most is a safe, steady space to uncover the beliefs and patterns quietly holding them back. From there, confidence takes root, and calm conviction replaces self-doubt.

You Might Not Expect This

You might show up for coaching expecting to dive right into strategy, structure, and immediate next steps. After all, efficiency is your love language!

Instead, we begin with honesty.

Honesty about what’s exhausting you.

Honesty about what you’re carrying alone.

Honesty about what no longer feels aligned, even if your life looks great on paper.

We slow down. We sit with the silence. We create space for reflection.
Because this pause is critical to your leadership success.

CLIENT IMPACT

“Col Farrell has been an incredible mentor and a true example of a leader who genuinely invests in others. Her commitment made a profound difference, especially as a young officer navigating my path.”

- Khandase Tate-Nero, Director of Public Health Operations

Everyday Joys That Ground Me

Life these days means savoring the small moments and reconnecting to simple pleasures outside of work.

I’m a proud grandma to 3 adorable kiddos who own my heart.

You’ll often find me in a Pilates or yoga class, or on a long walk.

I love travel and adventure. (Name the place, and my bags are packed!)

The perfect Friday night: curling up with my Maltese, Yuki, and my boyfriend, Ric.

I sometimes stay up way too late reading. My favorite genre is Historical Fiction.

I’ll never say no to a catch-up and glass of wine with close friends.
